Felice Romeo, 82, of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023. Born in Gioiosa Ionica, Calabria, Italy, he was the son of the late Caterina Luero.
Felice was raised in Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1966. He married his beloved wife, Linda (Dash) Romeo on August 28, 1971 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Niagara Falls, NY.
Felice was employed by Laborer’s Local 91 as a laborer for many years prior to his retirement. He had a deep appreciation for his Italian heritage and enjoyed tending to his garden, cooking, as well as making soppressata and homemade wine. He also enjoyed continuing the Italian traditions during the holidays. Above all, Felice cherished the time spent with his loving family, who he centered his life around.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, Mr. Romeo is survived by his children, Monica Romeo and Phillip (Katherine) Romeo; his siblings, Luigi Romeo and Carmela, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by four siblings, Maria (late Erminio) Melidona, Peter (late Vincenza) Luiero, Fiama and Giuseppina.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 13 from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Friday, July 14 at 9:00 AM followed by Felice’s Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY.
