DARLENE PERRY, daughter of Marie Perry and the late Jasper B. Perry, was born on July 14, 1967 in Santa Ana, California.

As a young child, Darlene attended United Cerebral Palsy Association (UCPA) under the umbrella of the Buffalo Public School system. Some of her favorite classes included cooking, art, and self-help skills. Darlene also enjoyed vocational classes and community training because she loved going to McDonald’s. While attending UCPA, Darlene joined the Girl Scouts troop, where she received numerous badges.

Following graduation, Darlene attended Brighton Park Day Habilitation, where she was involved in creative projects and community service activities. Darlene enjoyed past time activities, such as creative art, bowling, listening to music, and singing in the choir. Her favorite foods were pizza, spinach, chicken, vegetables and fruit.

On Sunday, April 2, 2023, Darlene entered into eternal rest.

Fond memories of Darlene will be cherished in the hearts of her mother, Marie Perry; brothers: William Perry (Linda) and Arthur Perry; aunts: Cynthia Lanier (Ricky), Karen Campbell (Terry), Vida Perry, LaFondra Martin (Bernell), Dorothy M. Fleming, and Barbara Chambers; uncles: Kenneth Perry, Jerome Perry, and Raymond Tyson (Anita); nephews: William Brandon Murphy (Aishia) and KaDontaé (Jasnee); great niece, Amiyah and great nephew, Adrian; and a host of cousin, other family, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father; and uncle, Oscar Tyson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 11, 2023, 10 AM at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 665 Michigan Avenue, Buffalo, New York 14203. Funeral Services to follow at 11 Am. Entombment Serenity Mausoleum, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
