A celebration was held this afternoon at Mutual Riverfront Park to declare the day as Edward M. Cotter Day. Officials from the city, the Buffalo Fire Department and the Edward M. Cotter Conservancy were on hand for the ceremony.
After the waterfront ceremony, the celebration moved to Gene McCarthy’s Old First Ward Brewing Company where a packed bar enjoyed the brewery’s Cotter Red Ale.
