Wasyl R. Puhacz was born on Friday, December 4, 1959 to Anastazia (nee Teplyckyj) and Petro Puhacz in Buffalo, New York. He worked at O-at-ka Milk Products as a production planner.
Wasyl was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (nee Baranyckyj). A devoted father of Alyssa (Zack Sullivan) Puhacz and Andrew (Sarah Foote) Puhacz.
Dearest brother of Ihor (Stephanie Hnatiw) Puhacz and late Maria (George) Paszkowsky. Dear brother-in-law of Karen (Hank) Kozlowski and Jean (Michael) Ranney. Loving uncle of Christina (Joe) Paszkowsky-Welsh, Lida Paszkowsky, Danylo (Krista) Paszkowsky, Kristina (Jason) Knaub, Steffany (Joe) Celento, Katie (Tom) Michalewski, Collin Ranney, Jason (Kara) Ranney and the late Raisa Puhacz. He is also survived by many great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Family will be present on Sunday, February 26th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Pietszak Funeral Home, 2400 William Street (near Harlem) where Panachyda Service will be held at 7 PM and on Monday morning at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Liturgy at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10 AM.
Burial will follow at St. Matthew’s Cemetery in West Seneca, New York.
