NIAGARA FALLS — A fusion record store and listening lounge will hold its grand opening and ribbon cutting on Friday.

Daredevil Record Store & Listening Lounge will hold a formal opening ceremony and ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. at 324 Niagara St. The event will include a brief statement by the owner, Jessica Berry, who will speak about the City  of Niagara Falls Minority and Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) grant, which was a  pivotal factor in her deciding to start the business.

Those in attendance will include Mayor Robert Restaino, City of Niagara Falls  representatives, Assemblyman Angelo Morinello, community supporters, media and  various friends and family. Walk-ins are welcome! All guests attending the grand opening will be entered into a draw for various door prizes.

The store will have extended hours that day until 12:30 AM. DJ Dr. Wisz will be spinning  a retro playlist from 5-11 PM. The lounge has a two-day beer, wine and cider permit  with alcohol sales until 12:30 AM for both Friday, January 13th and the following day  Saturday, January 14th, with a fully stocked fridge.

The record store includes new and used records, CDs, cassette tapes, and vintage  shirts. Like other record stores, Daredevil Records will be buying, selling and offering credit for customer used inventory. What makes Daredevil Records different, is the ability for patrons to listen to any of the available used inventory on the free audio equipment scattered throughout the lounge, or on the retro Walkmans and Discmans for a nominal fee. Splitters are on-hand for those seeking an interesting date night alternative.

Green Day’s Oakland coffee, Johnnie Ryan soda and Gene Simmons’ Moneybag soda are now available for purchase to enjoy in store. Beer, wine, cider and hard seltzers will be available for purchase in early 2023.

Daredevil Records will also be hosting events throughout the year. To find out more  event information follow their Instagram account: @daredevilrecords.
