Clarke F. Gould of Lewiston, NY, passed away on January 11, 2023 at the age of 76. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Clarke was born in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Harold and Geraldine (Clarkson) Gould.
Clarke graduated from LaSalle Sr. High School, where he met Judith, who became the love of his life. After serving in the Vietnam War as an Air Force airplane electrician, Clarke received his accounting degree at the University at Buffalo. He worked in several industries, and retired as CFO of Alliance Precision Plastics in Rochester, NY. Clarke was happiest when he was with his grandchildren. He was always excited to plan a trip, and especially enjoyed visiting Italy with his wife, visits to California, and many local excursions. He always did his research, especially when it came to finding the perfect Christmas gift, a habit he maintained even during his illness. He was an avid reader across a wide range of topics. He could engage in a knowledgeable discussion about anything, but especially loved Bills football, Sabres hockey, Chelsea soccer, and sharing his views on the political issues of the day. He was a compassionate man of his word, and will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched.
Clarke is survived by his wife, Judith Gould (Civiletto), daughter Jacqueline (Thomas) DiFonzo, son Stephen (Ryan Gendreau); grandchildren Lauren (Timothy) Rogers, Samantha DiFonzo and Zachary DiFonzo; sister, Deborah (Ron) Lee, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, January 13 from 4 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM.
