Lottie McDougald, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on January 7, 2023 at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY.  Born on October 23, 1928, she was the daughter of Polish immigrants, the late Marcin and Anna (Wieczorek) Rajczak.

Lottie was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.  On May 8, 1954, she married Donald L. McDougald.  Mr. McDougald predeceased her on December 4, 1995.  Boppie, as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, kept her Polish heritage alive through her cooking, as she continued to make pierogies, golabki, and barszcz her entire life.  Lottie enjoyed puzzles and playing bingo, and will be remembered fondly for her quick wit.  Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.

Lottie is survived by her daughters, Kathy Thaler, Judy (Steve) Skirlin, and Lori (late Jerry Grady) McDougald; her grandchildren, Bryan Moceri, Rachel Moceri, Adam (Melissa) Skirlin, Stephanie (Aaron) Rampado, Kristen (Bert) Dyster, Ava Grady, Emma Grady, and Meredith Grady; 5 great grandchildren, her brother, Henry Rajczak of North Carolina, as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband of 41 years, she was predeceased by her children, Susan (Jerry) Moceri and Donald McDougald, as well as her siblings, Adele Kowalski, Teddy (late Catherine) Rajczak, Jean ‘Jay’ Rajczak and Kay Babcock.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14 from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin at 11:30 AM.  Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Niagara Hospice.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
