Edison, NJ—On Monday, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced Angel Parker as the Hercules Tires MAAC Player of the Week.

Parker led the Purple Eagles to a 2-1 record this past week, one of the wins was against Quinnipiac whom the Purple Eagles have now beaten just twice in program history.

The Cheektowaga, N.Y. native put up an average of 19.7 points per game over the three games including 22 on Saturday against Saint Peter’s. She opened the week by dropped 19 at Iona while also collecting six rebounds and four steals against the Gaels.

Against Quinnipiac, she had 18 points while also shooting 4-7 from three-point range. She closed out the week with a 22-point performance in just 20 minutes on the court as the Purple Eagles defeated Saint Peter’s at home. Against the Peacocks she shot 46.7% from the field along with three three pointers.

This season she is averaging 16.0 points per game which is third in the MAAC. The Purple Eagles are back in action on Thursday at they go on the road to face Fairfield before facing Rider on Saturday.
