Ronald Jerome Ivey, Sr., a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in O.L.P Nursing Care Residence. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, he was the son of the late Frank and Margaret (Johnson) Ivey; and the beloved husband of Cynthia (Grooms) Ivey.
Ron moved to Niagara Falls with his family as a child and graduated from Trott Vocational High School. He began working at DuPont Chemical Co. as a chemical operator, and later retired from Pyrotech Inc. in 2019.
Ron enjoyed going to the Casino, but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be missed dearly.
In addition to his wife, Cynthia, he is survived by his children, Tequila Douglass and Ronald J. Ivey, Jr.; his grandchildren, Japri Palmer, Nieyaae Douglass, Irie Douglass, Ijanae Taylor, Alayah Ivey, Carl Dobbs, Carlisha Dobbs and Trevon Ivey and his great-grandchildren, Journee Mulkey and Nilani Douglass, one sister, five brothers, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister and one brother.
