Letitia James will remain New York State Attorney General after beating Republican Michael Henry by a 55-45 margin across New York State, including 53-47 margins in Erie and Monroe counties.

James, who made history as both the first female and first Black New Yorker elected attorney general, has been a polarizing figure, particularly among Republicans who have been displeased with her handling of all things Donald Trump. Her time in office has largely been defined by high-profile investigations into Trump and former Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
