Hello Metalheads! This is John back with another track highlight! Parius dropped a brand new track called Chrysopoeia on September 4th, 2026! This happens to be their first single off of their album Alchestronomy which is releasing November 13, 2026.
Parius has been one of my most listened to bands over the last four years. I found out about The Signal Heard Throughout Space(TSHTS), their previous album, a few days before it dropped in 2022. I haven’t stopped listening to that or The Eldritch Realm(2018) since I found Parius! They haven’t teased a single thing about new material, so I was beyond surprised and excited when the email showed up for their new single!
Now onto Chrysopoeia! This new track fits right into the vein of TSHTS like nothing else. The groove in this track is so good! The chorus is in 6/8, but the verse is in 4/4, this is so weird to hear, but damn they pull it off seamlessly. Their story they start to tease in this track is so cool! From what I understand the story is about an Alchemist and and Astronomer trying to outdo each other and find their way to live forever.
I can’t wait to dig into this 36 minute battle of ideals between the two characters and see how Parius manages to weave it all together. If I learned anything from The Signal Heard Throughout Space, these guys can tell a story through music.
