On February 21st, 2022, New York State Police arrested Samantha Barron, 34, of Fredonia, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. 

Barron was pulled over committing a cell phone violation on Vineyard Drive in Dunkirk and after failing several SFSTs, Barron was placed under arrest. An inventory of Barron’s vehicle revealed a bag containing heroin and a jar containing crystal methamphetamine. Barron was transported to SP Fredonia where she was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of Central Nervous System Stimulants and narcotics. A blood sample was secured from Barron at Brooks Memorial Hospital. Barron was transported back to SP Fredonia where she was processed and then released with tickets. Barron is scheduled to appear in the town of Dunkirk Court next month.
