Laura Fernandez Quarantillo, 90, died from natural causes on June 15, 2020 at Niagara Hospice.

Laura was born on October 12, 1929 to Aurora and Avelino Fernandez. She grew up in Niagara Falls and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.

On July 16, 1949, Laura married Robert Quarantillo, they enjoyed 67 happy years together raising a beautiful family. Robert predeceased Laura in 2016.

Laura was employed by the Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Club for over 20 years as administration assistant. In her leisure time, Laura enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing bocce with her girlfriends. Laura was a member of the St. Francis Guild and enjoyed her volunteer work and Mount St. Mary’s Hospital.

Laura is survived by three children Susan (Dr. Michael) Pell, Robert M. (Tracy Gillick) Quarantillo and William A. (Paula) Quarantillo; five grandchildren, Robert A. (Laura) Quarantillo, James R. (Annie) Quarantillo, Kristen J. Quarantillo, Austin J. (Sarah) Quarantillo and William D. (Brianna) Quarantillo; three great grandchildren, James Michael, Lucy Marie and Rose Kathleen Quarantillo. Laura is also survived by many dear cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters Anita (Fred) Tezanos and Gloria (Joseph) Castiglione.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held privately for the family. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
