DEWITTVILLE — A 42-year-old Dewittville woman was charged Tuesday with first-degree non-support of a child and endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation.

According to New York State Police, Troopers received a call regarding a possible neglect case involving a minor child.  Investigation revealed that the child had dozens of unexcused absences at school and was living with a non-custodial third party for approximately eight months, during which time child support was never provided by Julia Johnson, who was placed under arrest, transported to SP Jamestown and processed. Johnson was then transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.
