ALMOND — A 47-year-old Arkport woman was charged Monday with two counts of second-degree menacing with a weapon, two counts of fourth-degree possession of a weapon, second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child following a disturbance.

According to New York State Police, Troopers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on North Almond Valley Road in the town of Almond. Their investigation revealed Michelle D. Meyers had threatened two other parties with a metal pipe while in the presence of a child.

Meyers was arrested and arraigned in Almond Town Court, where she was released on her own recognizance. She is due to reappear in that court later this month.
