ALDEN — New York State Police conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Broadway in the Village of Alden on Friday. The following subjects were arrested and charged with DWI. They were all released with appearance tickets for Alden Court:
- Donald C. Babcock Jr, 31 of Lancaster, .10% BAC
- Allison Gaze, 26 of Cheektowaga, 14% BAC
- Darren A. Nowak, 49 of Alden, .08% BAC
- Nathan P. Hopkins, 21 of Depew, .12% BAC
- Daniel J. Halicki, 31 of Lancaster, .10% BAC
Approximately 650 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. In addition to the 5 DWI arrests, 11 other tickets were issued for various violations and one vehicle was towed due to a lack of registration.
