YORKSHIRE — An 82-year-old Springville man was charged Friday with driving while ability impaired following a traffic stop.
According to New York State Police, during a traffic stop in the Save-a-Lot store parking lot, Robert B. MacCubbin was exhibiting obvious signs of impairment. Troopers determined he had been operating a motor vehicle in an impaired condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. MacCubbin was then arrested and transported to SP Machias, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.07% BAC.
MacCubbin was released with appearance tickets returnable to Yorkshire Town Court, where he is due to appear later this month.
