The Canisius ticket office announced Wednesday that the Golden Griffin men’s basketball home game against No. 14 Buffalo, set for Dec. 29, at 7 p.m., is officially sold out.
This is the earliest a Canisius home men’s basketball game at the Koessler Athletic Center has sold out since the building underwent renovations prior to the 2002-03 season.
The game against the cross-town rival Bulls will mark the first time Canisius has hosted a ranked opponent at the Koessler Athletic Center. The last time Canisius played host to a ranked school was Dec. 22, 2007 when the Blue and Gold took on No. 24 West Virginia at KeyBank Center.
Canisius (3-6) returns to action Dec. 20, when the team travels to play at Holy Cross. Tipoff in Worcester, Mass., is set for 2 p.m. That game will be broadcast online through the Patriot League Network, and the radio call can be heard on WECK-Radio Buffalo, GoGriffs.com and the TuneIn app.
