Game Recap

  • The Purple Eagles and the Bulls battled in the first quarter, scoring back and forth. With a little under two and a half minutes remaining, Kharysma Bryant sank a three to tie the score, 14-14. Bryant hit another 3-pointer with about 30 seconds left in the quarter to leave Niagara trailing by only one point, 18-17.
  • As time expired in the first quarter, a trey from McIntyre put the Purple Eagles in the lead, 20-18.
  • Buffalo began to pick up some momentum in the second quarter, but the score remained close. Moore, Dagny Davidsdottir, Bryant, Maddy Yelle and Emerald Ekpiteta all had a bucket in quarter two and the Purple Eagles went into halftime trailing UB narrowly, 37-31.
  • Moore added eight points in the third quarter and McIntyre sank another 3-pointer, but the Bulls began to pull away, leading the Purple Eagles 68-46 going into the fourth quarter.
  • Trailing UB 70-48 in the fourth quarter, Niagara went on a 6-0 run, with all six points from Moore, to cut the Bulls’ lead, 70-54.
  • The Bulls held the Purple Eagles to only seven more points in the fourth quarter to win the game, 88-61.


Inside the Numbers

  • Moore led the Purple Eagles in scoring with 16 points.
  • McIntyre added 12 points and a team-high three assists.
  • Bryant had 10 points and four rebounds.
  • Ekpiteta led the team in rebounding with five rebounds and also scored a career-high nine points.
