As you may know, the voting for the 2018 All WNY Awards ended at midnight and we’re excited to be done with that phase of this year’s awards.
In total, 6,175 ballots were cast in this year’s awards, during the voting process from Oct. 12 through Nov. 9. Of the 23 categories that we included this year, some of the voting was VERY close. In fact, one of the awards was decided by just ONE vote. A second award was decided by three votes.
Of course, what you want to know is, “when will we announce the winners?” We will hold an awards ceremony in January (date, time and place to be announced at ThinkSoJoe’s birthday party tonight) where awards certificates will be presented. Winners will NOT be notified prior to the ceremony, however, we will — over the weeks leading up to the ceremony — be announcing the top five vote getters in each category.
