ALFRED, N.Y. — Angela McCauley (Schenectady/Home Schooled) and Drew Deren (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) were both triple-winners in a dual meet today at Alfred State as Buffalo State’s women’s team dropped a 187-105 decision, while the men’s team won 170-119.

WOMEN’S NOTABLES

  • McCauley led the Bengals’ women with victories in three events, claiming the 200 IM (2:27.91), the 200 fly (2:22.98) and the 200 back (2:25.32).
  • Kelly Lindner (W. Seneca/W. Seneca West) swept the diving events with a mark of 187.55 in the 1-meter competition and 194.60 in the 3-meter.
  • Michelle Viera (Smithtown/Smithtown West) touched first in the 200 breast in 2:50.76, and Marita Miller(Freeville/Dryden) won the 100 fly in 1:07.67.

 
MEN’S NOTABLES

  • Deren led the Bengals to victory, winning the 1,650 free (18:36.16), the 500 free (5:21.78) and the 200 fly (2:17.46).
  • Nathan Tuholski (Williamsville/Williamsville North) touched first in a pair of individual events, capturing the 50 free (23.05) and the 100 free (53.47).
  • Justin Moser (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) prevailed in both diving events with a score of 253.70 on the 1-meter board and 247.20 on the 3-meter.
  • Cody Wittmeyer (Hamburg/Hamburg) raced to victory in the 100 fly (54.62), and Shane Breen (Middle Village/Middle Village) won the 200 free (1:56.37).
  • Zach Nau (Spencerport/Spencerport) and Dylan Robb (Lockport/Lockport) teamed up with Wittmeyer and Tuholski to win the 200 medley relay (1:45.01).
  • Breen, Aaron Dulniak (Buffalo/Kenmore West), Wesley Van (Ithaca/Ithaca) and James Purpura(Cheektowaga/Cleveland Hill) added a win in the 200 free relay to close out the meet with a time of 1:37.25.
