Scouting Canisius
• The Griffs return their focus to conference play after opening the non-league portion of its 2018-19 slate last weekend at Clarkson.
• After the first month of the season, senior Dylan McLaughlin (2g, 4a) and sophomore Grant Meyer (1g, 5a) are tied for the team scoring lead with six points each. Meyer is the only Canisius player to record a point in all five of the Griffs’ games thus far.
• Senior Jimmy Mazza (2g, 3a) and junior Matt Stief (4a) have provided offensive punch from their blueline positions as the duo ranks third and tied for fourth on the team’s scoring charts. • Junior Blake Weyrick and sophomore Tucker Weppner have split time in goal for the Griffs to open the season. Together, the duo has combined to post a .843 save percentage and a 4.20 goals against average.

• Clarkson held a 22-16 shot advantage in the contest, highlighted by an 11-4 margin in the third period.
