ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Buffalo State saw its season come to an end as Nazareth netted three goals in the first half en route to a 4-0 victory over the visiting Bengals in non-conference action this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Golden Flyers opened the scoring in the 18th minute on a penalty kick and extended their lead with a pair of goals less than three minutes apart to take a 3-0 lead.
  • Buffalo State had its best chances to cut into the deficit with back-to-back shots at the end of the first half but couldn’t break through as the score remained the same at the halftime whistle.
  • Nazareth finished off its scoring with a goal in the 48th minute.
  • Buffalo State was outshot 20-5 in the contest as both teams combined for 29 fouls.
  • Taylor Carillo (Pine Bush/Pine Bush) finished with nine saves in her first action since Sept. 29.

 
FOR THE FOES

  • Mary LoCicero, Mia Longo and Mallory Ott all scored for Nazareth, with LoCicero finishing with two goals.
  • Hannah Miller made three saves in 74 minutes of action. Gabrielle Pighetti recorded the other 15 minutes in net for the Golden Flyers.
