UNIVERSITY AT BUFFALO ATHLETICS
BUFFALO, N.Y. — University at Buffalo senior Lauren Reyda ran her best race of the year, crossing the line in third place overall for the Bulls in a deep field of 120 runners. Reyda finished the race with a season-best 5k time of 18:16.0, propelling the bulls to a first place finish at the Canisius Alumni Classic in the 10-team field.
Khalil Hodge had a game-high 12 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss and a quarterback hurry in Buffalo’s win over Akron on Saturday. UB’s senior linebacker spearheaded the Bulls’ best defensive effort of the season. The Bulls held the Zips out of the endzone, marking the first time since 2013 Buffalo didn’t allow a touchdown in a game. The Bulls held Akron to just 235 yards of total offense.
