CANISIUS CLOSES OUT FALL SLATE AT MOTOWN COLLEGIATE

• The Canisius College golf team will close out the 2018 fall season Oct. 15-16 when the Golden Griffins take part in the 10-team Titan Motown Collegiate tournament, hosted by Detroit Mercy.
• The Titan Motown Collegiate is a 54-hole event, with teams playing 36 holes on Monday, and then 18 on Tuesday.
• Canisius is the only MAAC school in the field. Five of the teams are from the Horizon League, including host Detroit Mercy.
• This marks the second-straight year where Canisius has played in Detroit’s fall event.
Last season, the Blue and Gold placed sixth in the field, with former Griff Mark Lesinski earning a tie for fifth after he posted a three-round total of 222.

• Sophomore Matt Genaway posted a two-round score of 148 at Bucknell, his lowest career effort in a 36-hole event. He ended the two-day tournament as the Griffs top performer for the third time in his career, as he tied for 36th.
• Junior Jaret Chipman continued his strong fall effort last week as well after he shot a 74 on Tuesday to earn a tie for 48th in the field.
