NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — With points towards the run at the Canal Cup at stake, the Niagara Purple Eagles head south to battle their crosstown rivals in the Canisius Golden Griffins on Wednesday, with play slated to start at 7 p.m.
 
Scene Setter

  • The Purple Eagles are looking to bounce back after falling in a close affair to Manhattan in overtime on Oct. 6, 1-0.
  • Niagara is currently tied for third in the MAAC standings with Quinnipiac with 10 points.
  • Going back to Oct. 6, Niagara has outscored opponents by an 11-6 margin, going 5-2-1 in that stretch.
