CANISIUS HEADS TO BUCKNELL MONDAY
• The Canisius College golf team returns to action Oct. 8-9 when the Golden Griffins travel to take part in the Bucknell Invitational at the Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pa.
• The 17-team tournament will be a 36-hole event, with teams playing 18 holes on Monday, and then 18 on Tuesday.
• Four of the teams in the field, including Canisius, are members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
• This marks the second-straight year and the third time since 2012 where the Griffs have played in Bucknell’s fall event. Last year, the Griffs placed 12th in this tournament.
• This will also mark the first time Canisius has played a par-70 course this season.
GRIFFS PLACE 12TH AT MATTHEWS AUTO INTERCOLLEGIATE
• The Canisius golf team is coming off a 12th place finish at last weekend’s Matthews Auto Intercollegiate, which was hosted by Binghamton University.
• The Griffs finished the Matthews Auto Intercollegiate with a two-round team score of 603, highlighted by a season-low team score of 294 in the second round.
• Canisius junior Jaret Chipman tied for 17th in the field after he carded a tournament score of 145, which was one stroke over par. The 17th place finish for Chipman stands as his second top-20 finish in the fall season.
• Sophomore Michael Wells shot 74 in the final round, his fall season-low score to this point. He ended up in a tie for 46th.

• The Griffs will close out their 2018 fall season Oct. 15-16 at the Titans Motown Collegiate tournament at Prestwick Village Golf Club in Highland, Mich.
