A 39-year-old Jamestown man was charged with Felony DWI on September 23, 2018 following a routine traffic stop.

According to New York State Troopers, James Godwin was pulled over on I-86 in Jamestown for speeding and after failing several SFSTs, Godwin was placed under arrest. Godwin was transported to SP Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .17. As Godwin’s driving record revealed a DWI conviction within the preceding 10 years, the charge was upgraded to a felony.

Godwin was then processed, issued tickets and released, to appear in the town of Ellicott Court on a later date.
