A 44-year-old Bemus Point man was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree on September 24, 2018 following a routine traffic stop.

According to New York State Troopers, Jeremy Shepherd was pulled over for driving 96 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone on Dutch Hollow Road. A conversation with Shepherd revealed that he was in possession of Carisoprodol, a controlled substance for which Shepherd did not have a prescription. A search of Sherherd’s vehicle additionally revealed a partial Suboxone strip.

Shepherd was placed under arrest, transported to SP Jamestown and processed. Shepherd is scheduled to appear in the town of  Ellery Court on a later date.
