BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo State’s Ronni Kordrupel (East Aurora/Iroquois) was named the SUNYAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week after her record-setting performance on Saturday.
The senior hospitality major broke a 22-year old school record in the 5K with a time of 18:39, finishing as the top Division III runner at the Roberts Wesleyan Harry F. Anderson Invitational on Saturday. The previous record was 18:46, set by Lynn Lambright in 1996. Kordrupel crossed third overall in the 243-runner field at the Matt St. James Cross Country Trails, finishing only behind a pair of Division II competitors.
Kordrupel and the Bengals will next compete at the Lehigh University Paul Short Run this Saturday.
