CANISIUS COLLEGE ATHLETICS
BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Canisius men’s soccer team has added a game to its schedule as the team will face Akron in a road contest Saturday at FirstEnergy Stadium in Akron, Ohio.
Opening kickoff between the Golden Griffins (1-2-1) and Zips (1-3-1) is set for 7 p.m.
Both teams have had their early-season schedules impacted by inclement weather, allowing them to add an unoriginally scheduled game to their slate. Canisius has had two games postponed because of rain (Sept. 3 at Michigan and Sept. 9 at Saint Francis) while Akron had their home contest against UConn on Saturday cancelled as a result of travel issues for the Huskies arising from Hurricane Florence.
