HAMILTON, N.Y. — Canisius senior John Dantonio shot a two-over par 74 and the Golden Griffins posted a team score of 301 Sunday to finish in 16th place, as the Blue and Gold took part in the third and final round of the Alex Lagowitz Memorial at Seven Oak Golf Club in Hamilton, N.Y.
 
Dantonio’s 74 on Sunday allowed him to finish the three-round tournament with a score of 233, which placed him in a tie for 67th. Junior David Hanes carded a 75 on Sunday to finish in a tie for 34th with his tournament score of 224, while sophomore Matt Genaway tied for 49th in the field with his three-round score of 228. Genaway shot 77 on Sunday.
 
Lafayette posted a team score of 301 on Sunday to win the team title of the Alex Lagowitz Memorial with a 54-hole score of 867. Lafayette’s Brendan Cronin shot a one-under 71 on Sunday to win individual medalist honors with his tournament score of 206, which was 10-under par.
 
Canisius will return to action on Tuesday, when the Griff serve as the host team for the 65th playing of the Little Three Championship. This year’s Little Three Championship will be played at Crag Burn Golf Club in East Aurora, N.Y.
