GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. — Senior Ronni Kordrupel (East Aurora/Iroquois) scorched the 5K course to lead Buffalo State to team victory in today’s season-opening Daniel Walker Invitational at Beaver Island State Park.

- Kordrupel sprinted away from the pack, leading the 46-runner field with a time of 20:29, 29 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
- Senior transfer Olivia Ryan (Manlius/Fayetteville-Manlius) finished sixth for the Bengals with a time of 22:12, while Kassidy Manke (Buffalo/Kenmore West) crossed seventh in 22:45.
- Freshman Clara Sensini (Kingston/Kingston) was 12th (23:29), and Jaclyn Tedesco(Cheektowaga/Cleveland Hill) completed the Bengals’ scoring in 17th (24:31).
- Buffalo State finished with 43 points, holding off Cuyahoga Community College who placed second with 49 points.
