PRESS RELEASE

A 58 year old Chautauqua man was charged with DWI on July 15, 2018 following a routine traffic stop.

According to New York State Troopers, during a traffic stop following reports of an erratic driver on US Route 219 in the towns of Great Valley and Ellicottville, officers determined that John D. Swan was exhibiting signs of impairment. Troopers administered standardized field sobriety tests, which indicated Swan was intoxicated. He was arrested and administered a breath test, which showed a .14% BAC.

Swan was released and issued appearance tickets returnable to Ellicottville Village Court in August.
