GENESEO, N.Y. — Ronni Kordrupel (East Aurora/Iroquois) broke her own school record in the 1,500-meter run with a winning time of 4:37.15 as Buffalo State finished eighth of nine teams at the SUNYAC Championships at Geneseo this weekend.

NOTABLES:

  • Kordrupel also finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:18.56.  She contributed to 22 of Buffalo State’s 34 total points in the meet.
  • Ashley Lyons (Freeport/Freeport) and Tashana Dixon (White Plains/Woodlands) each scored in the 400-meter dash placing fifth (59.02) and seventh (59.55) respectively.
  • Kordrupel, Lyons and Dixon also teamed with Chassity Carrion (Nesconset/Sachem North) to earn a third-place finish in the 4×400-meter relay, clocking 3:58.67.
  • Tianna Gillenwater (New Rochelle/New Rochelle) added a fifth-place showing in the shot put with a mark of 11.71 meters.
  • Final team scores: 1. Geneseo (296.5), 2. Brockport (195), 3. Plattsburgh (89), 4. Cortland (59), 5. Fredonia (55), 6. Oswego (50), 7. Oneonta (40.5), 8. Buffalo State (34), 9. Potsdam (0).
