NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — After two wins against crosstown rival Canisius,
the Purple Eagles resume conference play with a three-game series at
Quinnipiac May 5-6.
Last Time Out
- The Purple Eagles hosted crosstown
rival Canisius May 1-2, defeating the Griffs in both games to win the
Battle of the Bridge series for the first time since 2006. - A walk-off triple from Trevor McCauley secured the Purple Eagles a 3-2 victory on May 1, and a strong offensive outing propelled NU to a 9-5 win on May 2.

named MAAC Player of the Week on May 1, leads Niagara with 44 RBIs, 14
doubles and six homeruns. - Center fielder Julian Gallup leads the Purple Eagles in stolen bases with 14 on 15 attempts.
- On the mound, Cody Eckerson (2-4) leads the Purple Eagle pitching staff with 60 strikeouts in 50.0 innings pitched. He has an ERA of 5.04.
- Matthew Grace and Alex MacKinnon have a team-high two saves.
On the Field: Quinnipiac Bobcats
- Outfielder Brian Moskey leads the Bobcats at the plate with 53 hits and .317 batting average.
- First baseman Liam Scarariello has a team-high 31 runs scored and 35 RBIs.
- Ben Gibson, an infielder, leads Quinnipiac in homeruns with 12.
- Tyler Poulin (3-6) has a staff-high 65 strikeouts in 57.1 innings pitched. He has an ERA of 4.40.
- Brandon Shileikis (5-4) leads the pitching staff in innings pitched (69.1) and has a 2.99 ERA.
