Concetta “Connie” Vitagliano passed away May 2, 2018 under the care of her loving daughter Mary Jo Bauer and Niagara Hospice.   Born August 1, 1926 in Buffalo, NY she was the daughter of Sabastiano and Maria (Maraschiello) Palumbo.  Connie was the wife of the late Anthony Vitagliano who passed away in 1997.   She worked as a Accounts Receivable Analysis for 30 years with the U.S. Government Veterans Administration after which she volunteered at Kenmore Mercy Hospital for 10 years and 11 years at Eastern Niagara Hospital.   In her spare time she enjoyed walking, putting puzzles together and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.   
Connie is the mother of Gene (Priscilla) Vitagliano, Mary Jo (Robert) Bauer and Anthony (Margaret) Vitagliano; she also is the grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 12.   Connie was the sister of Anthony (Theresa) Palumbo and the late Millie LoGalbo and Mary Gerace.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday May 6, 2018 from 1 to 5 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY.    A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday May 7, 2018 at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY.  Entombment will follow in Holy Sepulchre, Cheektowaga, NY.   Memorials to Memorials Processing, St. Jude Children’s Reserch Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105-9959,  DeSales Catholic School, 6914 Chestnut Ridge Road, Lockport, NY 14094 or the Buffalo City Mission, 100 E.
