CANISIUS COLLEGE ATHLETICS

The Canisius outdoor track program competed in the 124th annual Penn Relays Thursday evening from Franklin Field, with sophomore Donny Glavin shaving 10 seconds from his personal best time in the men’s 5000-meter event, placing 36th with a mark of 14:27.84.

Also running for Canisius was senior Jeff Antolos who finished 50th in the men’s 5000-meter event with his time of 14:50.33.

“Donny’s performance tonight is a big step toward where we know he can be at the end of the season” said head coach Nate Huckle ,” He dropped 14 seconds from his personal best which is just the next benchmark in his progression. He had lofty goals in mind for the championship race this season.”

Thursday’s running marked the only night of competition for Canisius in the Penn Relays, with the team heading back to Buffalo for the UB Invitational this weekend.
