ON DECK
After playing 29 games on the road to start the 2018 season, Canisius opens the home portion of its schedule Wednesday afternoon when the Golden Griffins play host to cross-town rival Buffalo. First pitch in the non-league doubleheader is set for 3 p.m
 
NEWS AND NOTES
• The Golden Griffins are 4-25 on the year after splitting the doubleheader at Mairst on Sunday April 8th.
• Freshman Kara Paradowski leads the MAAC and ranks 49th in the nation with her 15 stolen bases this season. Fellow freshman Erin Hufford ranks second on the team and sixth in the league with seven steals.
• As a team, the Griffs rank 77th in the nation with 1.24 stolen bases per contest.
• Senior pitcher Erika Mackie is among the league leaders in appearances (18) and innings pitched (82.2).

SCOUTING BUFFALO
• Buffalo is 14-22 on the year.
• The Bulls are led by Jess Goldyn with a .535 slugging percentage and a .404 batting average.
• As a team, Buffalo is hitting .264, and the team has been outscored by opponents 222-151.
• Sophomore Ally Power leads the Buffalo pitching staff with her 92 strikeouts and her 4.15 earned run average.
 
SERIES HISTORY vs. BUFFALO
