CORTLAND, N.Y. — Tianna Gillenwater (New Rochelle/New Rochelle) earned a victory in the shot put to help Buffalo State place fifth of eight teams today in the Cortland Team Challenge.

NOTABLES:
- Gillenwater captured the shot put competition with a mark of 11.80 meters.
- Ronni Kordrupel (East Aurora/Iroquois) added a runner-up finish in the 800-meter run, clocking 2:22.02.
- Cheila Diao (Latham/Shaker) placed third in the hammer throw (37.94m), while Tashana Dixon (White Plains/Woodlands) turned in a fifth-place finish in the 200-meter dash (27.30). Dixon also finished sixth in the 400-meter dash (1:00.15).
- Alex Motz (Alden/Alden) placed sixth in the shot put (9.77m).
- Ashley Lyons (Freeport/Freeport) was seventh in both the 200-meter dash (27.52) and the 400-meter dash (1:00.16).
