CHARDON, O.H. — The Purple Eagles women’s golf team opened its spring season at the Sand Ridge Shootout on Friday. The team finished in fourth place with a total score of 342 (+54).

Sydney Shaw led the team, firing a 77 (+5). She finished tied for eighth place.

Sarah Godfrey finished in 19th place, carding an 87 (+15), and Emily Doyle finished in 20th with a score of 88 (+16).

Marissa Del Monaco took 22nd with a total score of 90 (+18) and Britteny Purcell finished in 24th with a score of 92 (+20).

Samantha Bernardo and Allison Emborsky competed in the event as individuals Bernardo shot 96 (+24) and finished in 25th place and Emborsky carded a 105 (+32) and finished in 26th place.
The Purple Eagles hit the course next on Saturday, April 14 with a tri-match with La Salle and Delaware State.
