GENESEO, N.Y. — Buffalo State’s men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams opened their season today with a combined three individual top-10 performances and a pair of strong relay finishes at the Geneseo Early Season Invite.

NOTABLES:

  • Cody Lambert (Kenmore/Kenmore West) posted the top Bengals’ finish placing second in the long jump with a mark of 6.53 meters.
  • Ronni Kordrupel (East Aurora/Iroquois) led Buffalo State’s women with a third-place showing in the 5,000-meter run (19:02.92).
  • Sachar Williams (Rochester/East) added a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles (1:00.34).
  • The men’s 4×400-meter relay of Benaleo Daniels (Binghamton/Binghamton), T.J. Kmitch (Derby/Lake Shore), Jerome Willis (Brooklyn/Transit Tech) and Cody Sikora (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda) crossed second with a time of 3:38.65.
  • The women’s 4×400-meter relay of Kordrupel, Tashana Dixon (White Plains/Woodlands), Brittany Higgs(Buffalo/Olmsted 156), Ashley Lyons (Freeport/Freeport) finished third, clocking 4:28.18.
