ELMIRA, N.Y. — The Elmira College Rho Mu Chapter chapter of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education recently presented 12 senior members with honor cords during an induction ceremony. This year’s recipients included:

Courtney VanBuren of Middleport, NY (14105)
Sadie VanDyke of Alfred Station, NY (14803)

During the ceremony, senior members of the honor society were awarded Kappa Delta Pi cords and outstanding education and speech and language disabilities majors completing their junior year, were inducted into the prestigious honor society for educators. The event included a keynote address by Elisabeth Bostwick, award-winning educator, digital innovator, and author.

Kappa Delta Pi was founded in 1911 to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. For over a century, the Society has consistently grown, starting with a local chapter to become the international organization it is today, with an initiated membership that exceeds 1.2 million. The Rho Mu Chapter originated at Elmira College in 1988.
