OLEAN, N.Y. — The Canisius softball team will travel to Olean, N.Y., on Wednesday, March 28, when the Golden Griffins play St. Bonaventure in a non-conference doubleheader. Game one is set to start at 3 p.m.

NEWS AND NOTES
• Canisius has dropped eight straight games, including a pair one-run games  at the UNCG Spartan Classic in Greensboro, N.C.
• Freshman Kara Paradowski leads the MAAC with her 11 stolen bases this season. Fellow freshman Erin Hufford ranks second on the team and fourth in the league with five steals on seven chances.
• As a team, the Griffs rank 74th in the nation with 1.3 stolen bases per contest.
• Sophomore Morgan Altman is tied for the MAAC lead with two triples this season. She leads the Blue and Gold with four extra-base hits this season after having just two extra-base hits in 41 games last season.
• Senior pitcher Erika Mackie is among the league leaders in appearances (14) and innings pitched (60.2).
 
SCOUTING ST.BONAVENTURE
• St. Bonaventure is 6-14 on the year.
• The Bonnies are led by Olivia Golay, who is hitting .389 in 15 games this year.
• As a team, St. Bonaventure is hitting .257. The team has been outscored 131-79.
• Rylee Hehir leads the Bonnies’ pitching staff with her five wins in the circle this season.

SERIES HISTORY vs. ST. BONAVENTURE
• Wednesday’s twinbill will be the 75th and 76th all-time meetings between Canisius and St. Bonaventure on the softball diamond.
• The Griffs lead the all-time series by a 59-15 count.
• Canisius and St. Bonaventure played three times in the 2017 season, with the Bonnies scoring two wins.
• Dating back to 2009, Canisius has won seven of its last 10 games against St. Bonaventure at Joyce Field.
