Alvera E. Welton passed away Saturday March 10, 2018 at the age of 100. Born April 17, 1917 in the Town of Royalton, NY the daughter of Walter and Emma Krause Cook. Alvera was the co-owner of the Sinclair Refining Company in Lockport and also was the Manager at the F.W. Woolworth Store on Main Street in Lockport.
Alvera was the wife of the late Bruce J. Welton who passed away December 22, 1986. She is the mother of Linda (Daniel) Roberts, Robert B. (Becky) Welton and the late Roanne Haseley and Carrol Zastrow; also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Alvera was pre-deceased by her sister Onolee Buri.
Relatives and friends may call Monday March 12, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY, where funeral services will be held Tuesday morning March 13, 2018 at 10 AM. Interment will be private at a later date. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.
