Linda Lee Seekins Vincent of Lockport, passed away suddenly January 4, 2018 at Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport.

She was born in Lockport on September 22, 1936, the daughter of W. Elton and Avis (Dietz) Seekins. Linda graduated from Lockport Senior High School in 1954, and attended St. Joseph’s Business School in Lockport. She was employed by Niagara County Probation Department and the City of Lockport Engineering Department as an accountant; and by the Lockport City School District as payroll clerk. Linda retired in July 1999. Linda was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lockport, serving on the Board of Deacons for several years. She was a charter member of the Ladies of the Elks, Lockport Lodge #41, serving in each office, including past president. Linda was chairman of the Lockport Senior High School Class of 1954 Reunion Committee, who had a get-together every year. She was a former member of the Lockport Women’s Republican Club, and card party chairman. She was also a former member of the Lockport Town & Country Club. Linda married Keirn Brown Vincent in the First Presbyterian Church, on December 10, 1972. He passed away on December 9, 2016, after almost 44 years of marriage.

Linda is survived by a daughter, Karen L. Garbutt of Middleport; two sons, David E. Tothill of Niagara Falls and Darin E. (Angela) Tothill of Lockport; predeceased by her daughter Kathy L. Tothill. She is also survived by three step-daughters Tamara J. (Daniel Phipps) Smith of Newfane, Cathleen J. (Christopher) Scirto of Lockport, and Wendy L. (Joseph) Derda of Gasport; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; brother David E. (Lois) Seekins and sister-in-law Elaine (Allen) Edmister both of Lockport; also by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, Jan. 9th from 1-4 and 6-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 10th at 10 AM with Rev. W. James Hardy officiating. Interment will be in North Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to First Presbyterian Church, 21 Church St., Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated.
