Donata (nee Cascia) Battista; devoted father of Michele (Robert) Hodge, Raymond Battista, John (Sharon) Battista and Bernadette (Martin) McLaughlin; cherished grandfather of John (Leah) Battista, Raymond (Erin) Battista, Martin (Hannah) McLaughlin, Anna (Nathaniel) Smith, Rachel Battista, Nicholas Battista and Maria Battista; great-grandfather of Giana Battista, Logan Battista, Martin McLaughlin, Alexander Smith and Rory McLaughlin; loving son of the late Samuel and Elizabeth Battista; dear brother of Angeline (late Donald) Knapton, Salvatore (Mary) Battista, Dolores (late Ronald) Celano and the late Anna (Nicholas) Prezioso, Angelo (Frances) Battista and Rose (Hank) Panfil; fond brother-in-law of Grace Cascia SSJ and the late Myron (Millie) Cascia; also survived by relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave. on Tuesday from 3-8:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock (please assemble at church). Interment Nativity of Our Lord Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Raymond’s name to San Damiano Monastery of St. Claire, 6029 Estero Blvd., Ft. Myers Beach, FL 33931 or to Hospice of Buffalo.
