Carol J. Switzer of Lockport, NY, passed away on Friday December 15, 2017 in Niagara Hospice House. Born on July 1, 1934 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of Albert and Gertrude Grimm Petz. She was a graduate of Clarence Central School and SUNY at Buffalo and worked in the Accounting Dept. at Sherwood and in Accounting for Switzer Sales Corp. Carol was a member of First English Lutheran Church active on various committees including Altar Guild and former Secretary of the Church Council, Meals On Wheels, Jayncees – Jr. Chamber, Home Bureau, Niagara Co. Historical Society, Dale Association and Friends of the Night. She enjoyed travel, bridge, gardening and reading.
Predeceased in 2002 by her husband, George; she is survived by her children, Kim (Michael) Shaw, Jeffrey (Laurel) Switzer and Diane (Robert) Artieri; grandchildren, Stacey (Mike) Gugino, Kristin Shaw, Blake and Carlyn Switzer, Ashley and Jordan Artieri, great grandchildren, Logan and Jack Gugino and sister of Gerald (Carol) Petz.
Friends may call Monday 3:00 – 7:00 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at First English Lutheran Church, 185 Locust Street, Lockport. Interment in Cold Springs Cemetery.
