NIAGARA UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS
EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced its women’s soccer preseason coaches’ poll on Tuesday. Niagara received 46 points as the ninth place selection.
Monmouth, the 2016 MAAC Championship winner and four-time defending regular season champions, were selected as the preseason favorite, receiving 120 points.
Niagara returns 19 players from last year’s squad which went 5-10-1 and finished eighth in the MAAC.
The Purple Eagles kick off their season on Friday, Aug. 18 at Michigan State at 3:00 p.m.
