Carl T. “Vince” Vinson passed away on Saturday July 1, 2017 in Niagara Hospice House. Born in Winter Haven, Fl., on June 13, 1950, he was the son of the late Carl H. and Carmella Scott Vinson. Vince graduated from Lockport High School in 1969, NCCC in 1971 and the Eastern School of Music in 1978, where received his Instrument Repair Technician Degree. Vince own and operated Vinson Music, in Lockport. He was a lifelong musician, playing in several bands. He was also a member of the Musicians Union.
Carl is survived by his wife of 38 years, Theresa (nee Pacheco); father of Jonathan (Crystal) Vinson and the late Eric Vinson; grandfather of Evelynn; brother of Carol Vinson Bowen, Charlene (Rich) Bevilacqua, Cheryl (George) Lee and Michael (Miyuki) Vinson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday July 5th 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 6th at 10 AM at All Saints RC Parish, 76 Church Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
